All you need is to provide proof of your benefit entitlement for anyone over 18 within your household for example you can bring in your printed Universal Credit Payment Statement with you for your appointment or show us on your mobile device. We will also need to see a form of identification when you come to see us. This could be your driving license, bank card or passport.
The Guild can only help with 1 item every 3 years. The Guild is happy to signpost you to other agencies to provide help if you need this in the meantime so still give us a call.
Everyone’s circumstances are different so still give us a call so we can see if we can help. If your budget is tight we will try and help you but will need to see a full month bank statement as proof of income. We always need to see proof of income of all the adults in your household.
From initial enquiry we usually can offer you an appointment at our office or at one of our drop ins with 1-2 weeks.
Our grant assessor will tell you at your appointment the outcome of your application and will order your item with our local suppliers and this will be delivered to your home.
Our legacies are restricted to people who live in the borough of Bolton so unfortunately can only help residents who pay Council Tax to Bolton Council.
